QUT is established under the Queensland University of Technology Act 1998.
QUT is governed by a Council which has ultimate responsibility for the management and operation of the University. QUT Council is responsible to the Queensland Minister for Education. The Vice-Chancellor is responsible to Council for the good management of the University.
The Queensland University of Technology Act, QUT Statutes and Rules are included in MOPP Appendix 1(b). QUT Council Procedures are included in MOPP Appendix 2.
