Cutting-edge research and real-world engagement with the education profession combine to provide the Faculty with a diverse range of expertise and resources that are in demand by governments and education organisations world-wide. This experience is used in delivering professional development training and other activities. The Faculty has an established track record in working with commercial partners in the areas of professional development, consultancy and contract research. These activities range from reviewing the curriculum of a local school to developing and delivering a tailor-made course for overseas and local groups. Our academic and professional staff engage with the community at all levels. ![]() Internationally and nationally, we are involved in major projects at all levels of governments and with commercial organisations. Through agreements with a range of universities for collaboration in research, teaching and scholar exchange, Faculty staff regularly visit overseas universities to work on education projects and assist in teaching. The Faculty’s expertise is spread across four Schools: Early Childhood Cultural and Language Studies in Education Mathematics, Science and Technology Education In addition, the Faculty maintains the Centre for Learning Innovation that draws upon the strengths of all its Schools and provides on-going support for our top education researchers. How to access this expertiseThe Development Office in the Faculty of Education is the key contact point to assist with particular needs. The Development Office identifies commercial opportunities for the Faculty and responds to the needs of external clients. In addition, the Office works closely with the QUT Division of Research and Commercialisation, allowing us to draw upon an even greater range of expertise. We therefore have the ability to develop and administer large and complex projects on an international scale. Staff of the Development Office can rapidly respond to specific requests and identify the most appropriate academic and professional team for the task. |
